Whole house, whole build
30 Yard Dumpster Rental in Parker, CO
Same 22 foot footprint as a 20 with six foot walls instead of four and a half. That extra height is where a whole-house gut, an addition or a new build puts everything it produces over the course of a month.
The 30 yard holds nine to twelve pickup loads inside the same 22 foot length as a 20, so it costs you no extra driveway — only height. Six foot walls change how you load, how you plan and what the box is for. This is the size for a project measured in weeks, not weekends: a full gut, an addition, a large estate clearing or a spec home going up.

Why people choose the 30 yard
Whole-house work generates debris in waves. Demolition week produces drywall, lath, cabinetry, flooring and fixtures all at once, then framing scrap, then packaging from everything that gets installed. A 30 rides through all three phases without a swap in the middle, which keeps a general contractor from scheduling around a truck. That continuity is usually worth more on a build than the container itself.
New construction and additions on Parker infill and acreage lots fall here naturally. Framing offcuts, sheathing, housewrap, siding cutoffs, window crating and the mountain of cardboard a finish package arrives in are all bulky and light — exactly what tall walls are for. Construction dumpster rental on a live site usually means a 30 on site with a scheduled swap rather than a call-when-full arrangement.
Do not let the size tempt you into density. A 30 carries four to five tons, which sounds like plenty until someone starts tossing in tile, mortar, stone or the old patio. A box this tall reaches its weight limit at knee height with mineral debris, and then it cannot be lifted. Heavy material rides in a separate 10, always. That one discipline prevents nearly every failed pickup we see.
Good fit for
- Whole-house gut renovation taken to the studs
- New construction framing, sheathing and siding scrap
- Room addition or second-storey pop-top debris
- Large estate cleanout on an acreage property
- Barn, loafing shed or outbuilding teardown
- Full-house flooring, cabinetry and fixture removal
- Commercial tenant finish and office strip-out
- Multi-unit turnover with furniture and appliances
Not the right size for
- Concrete, asphalt, brick or landscape rock
- Soil, sod, sand or stripped arena footing
- Heavy tile, mortar and stone counters
- Small single-room remodels — overkill
Will it fit?
Length is the same 22 feet as a 20, but the tilt arc is taller, so give the truck 60 to 70 feet of straight approach and at least 23 feet of clear overhead. Six foot walls mean you throw over the top or use the rear swing door and walk debris in on a ramp — plan which end faces the work before we set it. On acreage off Crowfoot Valley or Hilltop Road, a long gravel drive needs a firm turnaround and marked septic components. Snow and freeze-thaw change what a soft drive will hold in winter.
Before delivery, move cars and bins, mark irrigation heads and septic lids, and tell us about new concrete, soft ground, a steep grade or low power lines. Our delivery and driveway protection guide covers all of it.

Do I really need a 30 yard for a whole-house cleanout?
For a full four or five bedroom home with a garage, basement and years of stored contents, a 30 usually beats swapping a 20 twice. Furniture, mattresses, shelving and boxes are bulky and light, which is what the extra height buys you. For a smaller home or a partial clearing, a 20 with one swap is often the better call. Describe the house and we will tell you which way it goes.
Can I put concrete or roofing debris in a 30 yard?
No, and this is the mistake that costs people a day. A 30 tops out around four to five tons, and concrete alone hits that at roughly two cubic yards deep. Shingles get there almost as quickly. Dense material goes in a 10 that gets swapped, no matter how large the project feels. We run both containers side by side on plenty of jobs — see heavy debris service.
Will a 30 yard fit in a residential driveway?
The footprint is identical to a 20, so if a 20 fits, a 30 fits. What changes is height and visibility: six foot walls sit above most fences and are very obvious from the street, which is worth knowing before your architectural committee sees it. Check whether your covenants cap container size or duration. We place on protection boards and photograph the existing slab condition on arrival.
How do you load a container with six foot walls?
Two ways. Most crews throw over the side for lighter material and use the rear swing door for anything heavy or awkward — appliances, vanities, roll-up carpet, a chest freezer. Tell us which end you want the door on when you book, because a door facing the wrong way turns a one-day load into a two-day one. Never stack above the top rail; the load has to be tarped legally for the road.
Is a 30 yard allowed under Parker HOA rules?
It depends entirely on the community. Some covenants cap duration only, others restrict container size or require the box to stay on the driveway and out of sight lines, and a few want design-review approval before exterior work begins. A property can answer to both an HOA and a metro district. Rules change, so confirm in writing before delivery. Our HOA and permit guide covers the usual traps.
