Roll-off containers for Elizabeth homes and jobsites

Elizabeth is the largest town in Elbert County, out where the ponderosa gives way to rolling grassland along CO-86. It has a real Main Street, a rodeo grounds and a school district, and it has been growing steadily as buyers push east looking for acreage they cannot find in Douglas County. Our containers go two places here. One is the older town core, where 1900s and mid-century homes are being reworked room by room. The other is the surrounding ranchettes, where new owners are clearing decades of accumulated equipment, fencing and outbuildings off five to forty acre parcels before they build.

What we know about working in Elizabeth

Elbert County sits high, around 6,500 feet at the town, on the divide between Gold Creek and Running Creek. Housing runs from turn-of-the-century frame homes and 1950s ranches near Main Street out to 1990s and 2000s acreage builds in Sun Country Meadows, Spring Valley Ranch, Wild Pointe and Gold Creek Meadows. Wells and septic systems are near universal outside the town limits, and there is no municipal trash service on most rural parcels, so cleanouts get scheduled rather than trickled out weekly. Agriculture and equestrian use still drive the economy, and the schools plus county services are the main employers. Wind is a factor here that people underestimate, and open, unbroken lots mean loose debris blows out of an uncovered box fast.

Getting a truck to you

We run south on Parker Road to Franktown, then east on CO-86 through the divide country into town. Rural addresses off the county roads add time, and several are gravel the whole way. Winter matters here more than closer in, because CO-86 drifts and county roads get plowed later. Loose loads need a tarp on the return trip given how hard the wind blows across open grassland east of town.

Routes we run: CO-86, CO-83 (Parker Road), County Road 13 (Elbert Road), Singing Hills Road.

Permits, streets and placement in Elizabeth

On a private driveway in Elizabeth you generally do not need a municipal permit. Placement in the public street or right-of-way is a different matter and normally requires approval — from the borough or township where the road is locally maintained, or from CDOT where it is a state route. Every municipality in Elbert County runs its own form and its own lead time, and older streets here often have no off-street parking at all, so plan the permit before you plan the delivery. It is a ten-minute call that saves a week.

Our permit and placement guide walks through the whole process, and CDPHE publishes the Covered Device Recycling Act rules and the other statewide disposal restrictions that apply to every load we haul out of Elizabeth. County recycling and household hazardous waste dates are published by Douglas County.

Dumpster Rental in Elizabeth — FAQs

Do you actually deliver out to Elbert County, or only Douglas County?

We run Elbert County regularly. Elizabeth is a normal service day for us, reached by way of Franktown and CO-86. Because the distance is longer than a Parker or Lone Tree delivery, we schedule rural Elbert stops in blocks rather than one at a time, so booking a day or two ahead gets you a better window than a same-morning call.

There is no trash service at my acreage. Can I use a roll-off for a big household cleanout?

That is one of the most common reasons people out here call. A roll-off works well for clearing a garage, a shop, an outbuilding or an estate. Keep out tires, liquid paint, automotive fluids, batteries and electronics. PaintCare sites take latex and oil paint, and Colorado bans electronics from landfills, so those go to separate drop-offs.

What happens if the wind picks up while my container is loaded?

It gets serious fast on open ground east of Elizabeth. Keep light material such as insulation, cardboard, foam and vinyl siding low in the box and weighted down with heavier debris on top. Do not load above the rail line. If a front is coming through, a tarp or even a few sheets of plywood laid across the top will keep your debris on your property instead of your neighbor's fence line.

How quickly can you deliver a dumpster to Elizabeth?

Elizabeth is about 20 miles southeast of Parker, so it is a routine run for us. Same-day delivery is usually possible if you call before about 11am, and next morning otherwise. Storm weeks and the spring remodeling peak can stretch that, and we will tell you honestly when you call.

Do you charge extra to deliver to Elizabeth?

No. Elizabeth sits inside our standard service area and the flat rate is the same as it is in Parker. Delivery, pickup, your rental window and disposal up to the agreed tonnage are all included in the number we quote you.

What size dumpster do most Elizabeth customers take?

A 20 yard is the most common by a wide margin — it suits kitchen guts, multi-room renovations and three-bedroom house cleanouts. But if you are stripping plaster and lath out of a pre-war house, or moving coal-era brick, stone or concrete, size DOWN to a 10 yard heavy container and take two hauls — that material hits the weight limit long before it fills the box.
