A build generates completely different debris at every phase, and one container size rarely fits the whole schedule. Excavation and footing work throws off form lumber and stakes. Framing produces offcuts and banding by the pickup load. Rough-in leaves conduit, pipe stubs and packaging. Drywall and finish generate the largest volume of the whole job. Punch list is a half-full can of paint buckets and cardboard. Planning swaps around those phases is what keeps a Parker jobsite from turning into a debris field.

Parker construction splits into three lanes: production infill in the newer filings, custom homes on acreage out toward Franktown and the Pinery fringe, and heavy remodel work on 1990s stock that is hitting its first real refresh. The acreage jobs are the ones that need thought — long gravel drives, septic fields and wells that must be located and marked, and soft shoulders after a spring storm. Call Colorado 811 before anything gets dug.

We have been hauling for Douglas County contractors since 2014 and we run on trade time, not office time. Order before the cut-off and the can is there for the morning start; call for a swap and it goes out the next morning. Clean concrete, brick and block are crushed to aggregate rather than buried, clean wood and scrap metal are recovered, and keeping those streams separate on a big job is usually the cheapest thing a superintendent can do.

Debris We Handle On Active Jobsites

New Home Framing

Offcuts, sheathing scrap, banding, housewrap and pallets. High volume, low weight, and the phase where a 40 yard earns its keep on a production lot.

Whole-House Remodel

Cabinets, flooring, drywall, trim and mechanical takeout all at once. Mixed weight, so we usually stage a 30 yard and swap at the drywall stage.

Basement Buildout

Framing, insulation, drywall and the homeowner's storage that has to leave first. Common work in 1990s Parker filings where the basement was left unfinished at closing.

Concrete And Flatwork

Broken driveway, patio and sidewalk from heaving clay. Clean loads go to a crusher for aggregate, so keep rebar-free concrete out of the mixed can.

Siding And Window Swap

Hardboard, fiber cement offcuts, old frames and glazing. Glass and cement board go heavy fast, and cut-off dust is worth containing on a windy Front Range day.

Tenant Improvement

Ceiling grid, ductwork, partition track and salvaged fixtures from an office or clinic build. Scheduled swaps keep the corridor clear for other trades.

Site Cleanup Punch

The last pass: packaging, paint buckets, coffee cups, banding and broken tools. A 15 yard closes out the job without holding a big box on site.

Excavation Spoils

Form lumber, stakes, broken pipe and mixed dirt-and-rock from a footing dig. Weight limits bite here, so dirt loads get their own smaller container.

Matching Container Size To Build Phase

Framing and finish are volume problems; demolition and flatwork are weight problems. For a production framing package or a large siding job, a 40 yard means fewer swaps and less crew time spent walking debris. For mixed remodel demo, a 30 yard is the workhorse. For anything with concrete, tile, mortar or wet dirt, drop to a 10 yard or a 20 and swap more often — an overweight box costs more than an extra pull and can be refused at the scale. On a phased schedule, plan the sizes before the first delivery instead of reacting at drywall.

Keeping A Jobsite Clean And Legal

Two things get contractors in trouble here. The first is placement: a loaded container on a fresh driveway pour, on pavers, or on a soft acreage shoulder after a storm. We set protection boards under the rails as standard and photograph existing cracks — Douglas County's bentonite clay means most slabs already have some. The second is what goes in the box. Asbestos-containing material cannot be accepted in any container, and CDPHE Regulation No. 8 requires a certified inspection before renovation or demolition disturbs more than trigger amounts. Electronics, paint, solvents and tires are out as well. Verify current requirements with CDPHE and your local building department, because the thresholds do get revised.

Construction Dumpster Rental FAQs

How fast can you swap a full container on an active site?

Next morning is standard, and same-day swaps happen regularly if the call comes in before our afternoon cut-off. On phased jobs we prefer to book swaps against the schedule rather than wait for the box to overflow — tell us the drywall date and the finish date and we will have cans on site for both. A crew standing around waiting on a hauler is the most expensive thing on any jobsite.

Can I put dirt or concrete in with construction debris?

You can, but it is usually the wrong move. Clean concrete, brick and block go to a crusher and come back as aggregate; mixed in with lumber and drywall, that value disappears and the load gets heavy enough to hit the weight limit at half full. Order a separate small container for concrete and heavy debris and keep the big box for light material.

Do you deliver to acreage sites east of Parker?

Regularly — Franktown, Elizabeth, Kiowa and the Pinery fringe are normal runs for us. What we need to know is the drive: gravel condition, gate width, turnaround room, and where the septic field and leach lines sit, because a loaded truck on a shallow field is a very expensive mistake. Mark the well head and the field before delivery day and we will stay off them.

What size do most Parker remodel contractors order?

A 30 yard covers the majority of whole-house remodels here, with a 20 yard for single-room work and a 40 for framing packages or large siding jobs. The variable is weight, not floor area: a kitchen with tile, mortar bed and a cast-iron drain line will outweigh an entire basement of framing scrap. Our Parker sizing guide works through real examples.

Can you supply containers for a whole subdivision phase?

Yes. Multiple cans across several lots, staged deliveries as the framing crew moves down the street, and swaps on a standing schedule — that is routine work for us in the newer Parker filings. One point of contact, consistent trucks and drivers who know the site layout. Give us the build schedule and we will map the placements to it rather than reacting lot by lot.
